🧠 Leaving a gift in your Will

Another meaningful way to support our work is by leaving a gift in your Will (a charitable bequest). By doing so, you create a lasting legacy that can help improve stroke prevention and recovery for generations to come.
We recognise that making a Will is a deeply personal decision, often involving discussions with family. A gift to a cause you value can be included when you first write your Will or added later through a codicil (a short legal amendment). We encourage everyone to have a Will to ensure their wishes are clearly expressed—no estate is too small to make a difference.
There are many ways to prepare a Will, including through a solicitor, a Will kit, or an online service. If you wish to include the New Zealand Stroke Education Trust, please use the following details:

Legal name: New Zealand Stroke Education Trust

    Charity number: CC2550986

Registered address: 9A Raymond Terrace, Northcote, Auckland 0627, New Zealand

Suggested wording I give to the New Zealand Stroke Education Trust (NZSET), 9A Raymond Terrace, Northcote, Auckland 0627, New Zealand, Charity Number CC2550986, [a percentage of my estate / a specific sum / a specific asset / the residue of my estate / my whole estate], free of all duties, to be used for the general purposes of the Trust. A receipt from an authorised officer of the Trust shall be a full and sufficient discharge to my executor.

We recommend discussing your intentions with your family so they are aware of and can support your wishes. If you are considering leaving a gift to NZSET, you are welcome to let us know. This allows us to thank you and plan for the future. Of course, any such decision remains entirely your own and can be changed at any time.
